Right as I get to writing my very on point discussion of Hans Kohn on Moses Hess!! 😄😄 I don’t think there’s a reason for Ruppin to make an appearance in my book, but he strikes me as the Wilhelmine German forerunner of Abba Hillel Silver, a man of many contradictions who had an essential role in creating the state who became irrelevant at best immediately thereafter.

Perhaps it’s a bit useless to mull over the warts of the founders . Many of our founders here in the USA were slave holders . So what ? That was then and perceptions change .
We are blessed with a State that is -nearly 80 years old that is the home to half of World Jewry … must be doing something right along with the wrongs.
Based on the photographs it seems that as his theories changed so too did his race.
